Welcome!

For roughly 30 years, Michigan-based songwriter and performer Phil Lynch has had a musical hobby. He takes the hymn texts of Charles Wesley, co-founder of Methodism in 1700s England and sets that wonderful poetry to new tunes and arrangements. Phil's album, Love Divine: The Charles Wesley Project focuses on Wesley's hymns about sanctification: God's working in us, to bring us more fully into alignment with the Divine . . . so that our every act, word, and thought might be love.

Here you can explore Phil's album and this timeless idea of being fully in tune with the Divine; or as the apostle Peter wrote, "partakers of the Divine nature." The theologian, Athanasius put it this way using the language of the 4th century: "God became man, that man might become God." We at the Project are praying in advance that exploring the music and ideas here will be a blessing to you. Happy exploring!
